Panel Mounting

Panel mounting allows the entire drive to be mounted inside an enclosure
without extending the heat sink through the enclosure wall. The drive is
mounted inside the enclosure using the panel mounting brackets (Cat. No.
8510SA-Mxxx) that can be supplied as an accessory. Care must be taken to
provide the required clearances at the top and bottom of the drive to assure
that the airflow across the heat sink is not obstructed. Mounting dimensions
can be found in Chapter 3.

ATTENTION: The drive is designed to provide its rated
continuous output when the heat sinks are in a 40

°

C (104

°

F)

ambient temperature. To obtain the rated continuous output of
the drive amplifier, the temperature of the air entering the heat
sink must be maintained at 40

°

C (104

°

F) or less. If the

temperature of the air entering the heat sink exceeds 40

°

C

(104

°

F), the drive amplifier must be derated in accordance with

the curve shown in Figure 5.3.
