Installing MPEG video support in Windows
The ATI Video Player uses Microsoft’s Video for Windows. If Video for
Windows is not installed on your system, refer to the README in the
VIDEO\ATI\CD directory for more information.
1 In the DOS environment, insert the PC Compatibility Card–PC Utilities CD into the
CD-ROM drive.
Note: If you have already installed the MACH64 directory on your C drive
you can skip ahead to step 5.
2 Type the following:
E:
CD\VIDEO\UTILITY
INSTALL
The Installer program’s main menu appears.
3 Choose Utilities Installation from the menu.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install the MACH64 directory on your
C drive.
4 When the installation is complete, press Esc until you exit the program.
5 Type the following:
C:
CD\MACH64
INSTALL
The Installer program’s main menu appears.
6 Choose Drivers Installation from the menu.
7 Select Microsoft Windows.
8 Select Display Drivers + Software MPEG.
9 Follow the onscreen instructions.
