Operations that can be performed from Replication Manager are described below.
Device scan from Replication Manager
You can perform the following types of device scan operations (to acquire storage system
information) on mainframe-system storage from Replication Manager:
•
Local scan
•
Remote scan
•
NG scan

scan” (page 108) .
Defining a copy group from Replication Manager
You can define a copy group on mainframe system storage from Replication Manager by using
the storage system information that is acquired by performing a device scan.
If Business Continuity Manager agents are running on other sites, you can distribute the created
configuration files to these sites.
Manipulating a copy group from Replication Manager
You can perform the following operations on a defined copy group from Replication Manager:
•
resync – Resynchronizing the copy group
•
restore – Reverse resynchronizing the copy group
