Deleting command devices not registered in a route list
To delete command devices not registered in a route list, delete them from the Extra Command
Device Direct Operation panel. You can also delete them by executing the YKDELCMD command
from a script, specifying either the SN (storage system serial number), CU, CCA, and APID
parameters, or the DEVN and APID parameters.
To confirm the deletion when using an XP12000/XP10000 Disk Array, an XP24000/XP20000
Disk Array, an XP P9500 storage system, or XP7 storage, execute the YKQRYDEV command from
the Route Status panel or a script, and make sure that the information for the corresponding
command device is not displayed. If this information is not displayed, then the deletion was
successful.
Creating an inter-control unit logical path dedicated to the command device
This section explains how to create an inter-control unit logical path dedicated to the command
device.
Supporting a Continuous Access Synchronous Z or TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe copy
group configuration
To create an inter-control unit logical path dedicated to the command device:
1.
Establish an inter-control unit logical path.
For Continuous Access Synchronous Z or TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe: Ensure that
the control unit does not belong to the P-VOL or the S-VOL contained in a Continuous Access
Synchronous Z or TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe copy group.
This inter-control unit logical path must be assigned a port number that is different from the
port number of the inter-control unit logical path that will be used by the Continuous Access
Synchronous Z or TrueCopy Asynchronous for Mainframe copy group.
2.
Create a command device on the control unit with which the inter-control unit logical path
dedicated to the command device has been established.

Asynchronous for Mainframe, or Continuous Access Journal Z copy group configuration.
