Steps on the primary host (3DC Cascade (Cnt Ac-S Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration)
1.
Scan the storage system at the primary site.
Perform a scan over a range that contains volumes to be defined in the copy group and a
command device (for the forward direction) to be registered in the storage system of the
primary site.
NOTE:
In a 3DC Cascade (Cnt Ac-S Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration, one storage system is
allowed for each site.
This creates the disk configuration definition file for the primary site.
For details on how to perform scans to acquire storage system information, see
volume information” (page 583)
.
2.
Define a path set consisting of inter-control unit logical paths (Primary
→ Intermediate) and
inter-disk controller logical paths (Intermediate
→ Remote) that are in the forward direction
(or specify a path using Remote Web Console).
•
A CU to be specified for a path set must include a volume to be defined in a Cnt Ac-S
copy group and a command device for the forward direction.
•
Only define paths in the forward direction in a path set that is defined at the primary site.
Create a path set of paths for the reverse direction from the secondary site.
These steps create the path set definition file.
3.
Create a route list for the forward direction (Primary
→ Intermediate → Remote route).
