3DC Cascade (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration
In this manual, a 3DC cascade configuration that consists of three Continuous Access Journal Z
sites is referred to as a 3DC Cascade (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration.
A 3DC Cascade (Cnt Ac-J Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration performs remote copying from the primary
site to an intermediate site and to a distant remote site. Continuous Access Journal Z is used for
both the primary site to the intermediate site and the intermediate site to the remote site. This makes
it possible to place the intermediate site at a more distant location than a 3DC Cascade (Cnt Ac-S
Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration.
3DC Multi-Target (Cnt Ac-S Z x Cnt Ac-J Z) configuration
This configuration performs remote copying from the primary site to a nearby local site with
Continuous Access Synchronous Z, and from the primary site to a distant remote site with Continuous
Access Journal Z.
