RANSITION
Whenever you make a video or audio split, the transition originally set is
changed, which means extended on either or both sides of the transition
boundaries. In the Setup menu, page 4.2, key F2, you can set the default
mode for extending transition effects, this means you specify where the
effect is extended.

The following table summarizes the various transition modes;
Criteria Description
Center (on)
Cut
The transition is extended equally in both directions.
End (on) Cut
The transition is extended to the left, so that the end of
the transition is not changed.
Start (on) Cut
The transition is extended to the right, so that the start of
the transition is not changed.
Ask
Asks the operator to choose one of the 3 options above
each time he edits a transition.

You can build different types of playlists depending on:
• the transition mode in video or audio split
• the transition duration
The following schemas show, for each transition mode, a playlist with:
• the same video and audio transitions (no audio or video split)
on playlists 10, 13 and 16.
• an extended audio transition (V Base edit)
on playlists 11, 14 and 17.
• an extended video transition (A Base edit)
on playlists 12, 15 and 18.
