z Click Add to enter the page for adding protocols and configuring user-defined protocols, as shown
in Figure 18-2 . User-defined protocols can only be application-layer protocols, protocols over TCP
or UDP.

z To delete a user-defined protocol, select the protocol and click Delete. The system-defined
protocols cannot be deleted.
z Select a protocol from the navigation tree and then you can view and modify detailed information of
the protocol.
z To restore the default settings of a system-defined application-layer protocol after you modify its
state or port number, click Reset. This operation is not applicable to user-defined protocols or
non-application-layer protocols.
