By default, a port does not
belong to any service loopback
group
Repeat the two steps to assign
multiple Ethernet interfaces to
the service loopback group.
A service loopback group can process service only after it is referenced by other features.
A service loopback group can be referenced by multiple features at the same time, for example,
by multiple tunnel interfaces. It is recommended that you assign more ports to a service loopback
group that is likely to be referenced by multiple features at the same time, so that the service
loopback group can provide sufficient bandwidth.
The maximum total number of load-sharing aggregation groups and load-sharing service
loopback groups supported on an S7500E series Ethernet switch is 128. For more information
about aggregation groups, see Ethernet Link Aggregation Configuration in the Layer 2 - LAN
Switching Configuration Guide
.
You can change the service type of an existing service loopback group. For the change to be
successful, you must ensure that: the service loopback group has not been referenced yet; the
attributes of all member ports (if any) are not conflicting with the target service type; no service
loopback group has been created for the target service type, because only one service loopback
group is allowed for a service type.
You cannot remove a referenced service loopback group.
Only EA cards support multicast-tunnel type service loopback groups.
