NetVue
Comtech EF Data’s Integrated Management System, server hardware, and Web-based clients,
which within the NetVue technology, is synonymous with the Skyline Dataminer technology
NetVue Cube
Comtech EF Data’s Web Based Client for the NetVue Integrated Management System
NetVue IMS
A NetVue Integrated Management System is a cluster of connected NetVue Agents for managing
and controlling CEFD products in point-to-point and point-to-multipoint operations.
NetVue Device/element
A device that is managed by the NetVue Integrated Management System such as a modem, RF
device, Ethernet switch, IP router, serial to IP gateway, etc.
NetVue Server
A NetVue Integrated Management System server that is a Dell hardware based platform running
a VMware Hypervisor with a Microsoft Windows™ Server Operating System. Within the NetVue
technology, the NetVue Server is synonymous with the Skyline DataMiner Agent (DMA).
NetVue System
A NetVue system is the combination of one or multiple hardware and software platforms. Within
the NetVue technology, the NetVue System is synonymous with the Skyline Dataminer System.
Redundancy group
A configuration 1:1 or 1:M or M:N hot redundant servers
A configuration of a primary server and a cold shelf spare
SNMP Agent
The part of an element that provides information about the element in the format described in the
SNMP protocol.
SNMP Manager
A software application that manages SNMP Agents.
SNMP MIB
