NetVue databases
Each NetVue Server contains a local database. The default database installed is MySQL 5.5.x. The
database contains all the configuration data, trending data, events, alarms and more.
Although the NetVue database is an SQL database, it is not accessible for user-issued SQL commands.
The database contains binary information and is not human readable. However, all information in the
database is accessible via reports and dashboards as human-readable information for use in managing
the system.
Optionally, automatically offload the trending data stored in each local database to an external central
database. The external database is on a dedicated database server. This option is useful when the data
is used to run custom SQL reports and used with third party reporting or billing tools.

NetVue peripherals
NetVue peripherals are special interfacing tools. Use the NetVue peripherals to connect a NetVue to
third-party devices in some networks.
