Figure 1-5 Clustered and 1:1 redundant NetVue Servers

The NetVue IMS does not have a central server, nor any dedicated client terminals. The NetVue IMS
seems like one entity to all users logged on to any NetVue server in the cluster.

The look, feel and operation are indistinguishable among clustered NetVue servers because all of the
servers in the IMS cluster use identical software. However, each NetVue server is a fully functional
monitoring system.

IMPORTANT: CEFD strongly recommends the use of 1:1 redundancy with all
clustered configurations. If you make changes to a NetVue Server that is disconnected
from the cluster during a communication outage, know that those changes are not
propagated to any other NetVue servers in the cluster.
