A.8.1 General MIBs
The general NetVue MIBs describe the default SNMP traps sent by the NetVue System. They are
shipped with every version of the NetVue Agent software.
On a NetVue Agent, the general MIBs are in the C:\Skyline NetVue\MIBs\ folder.
A.8.2 Protocol-specific MIBs
Additionally, you can use MIBs for specific NetVue protocols. However, these MIBs must be generated
manually.
A.9 Generating a protocol-specific MIB
To control an element using a specific protocol version via SNMP, create a MIB file. The MIB file must be
based on the parameter information in that protocol version.
1. In System Display, go to Admin ‣ Protocols
2. In the Protocol list pane on the left, select a specific protocol version.
3. In the General tab, click Get MIB.
4. In the Save As dialog box, select a name and a location for the new MIB, and click Save.
