10.5.2
User identification
Each NetVue user must have a unique user name and a password.
NetVue uses two methods for user identification:
•
Autonomous User Identification
•
Domain
10.5.2.1
Microsoft Windows Security integration
NetVue Cluster Security integrates closely with Microsoft Windows security.
Users with the authority to access the NetVue Cluster automatically have access to the servers through
the Windows operating system.
Even when the NetVue Cluster uses Autonomous User Identification, the users created in System Display
are created in the Windows operating system automatically.
10.5.2.2
Autonomous User Identification
A NetVue Administrator defines users in the NetVue Cluster.
10.5.2.3
Domain
Initially, the corporate network domain defines the users. After the NetVue Cluster is added to the
corporate network domain, those user definitions are integrated transparently into the NetVue Cluster.
