Chapter 9. Licensing

9.1 Overview

The NetVue System supports a given number of devices per NetVue Server based on the number of
devices specified in the license. Licensing also controls the redundancy feature.

A device is an element under management. Examples of managed devices, or elements, are modems,
switches, RF devices, etc.

For example, a NetVue Server with a license for 100 devices can manage a maximum of 100 devices
collectively.

To change a license, CEFD Product Support uses Team Viewer to access the NetVue Server. They
install a new license file without negatively affecting the NetVue System operation.
