13.3 Key cards and access control
The user dialog of the Titroprocessor 796 can be limited according to the
wishes of the operator. For example, in order to avoid accidental deletion or
alterations of methods by unauthorized persons it is possible to ‘hide’ or
block softkeys and several keyboard keys. This results in a simplified user
dialog. The configuration of the user dialog can be stored in a file on a
memory card. In addition to the modified user dialog, certain status settings
(user name, statistics on/off, source location of methods etc.) are stored in
this 'access control' file. Memory cards with an access control file can be
used as key cards. The 796 Titroprocessor may be configured, so that ac-
cessing the instruments functions is only possible by use of a key card.
Every user may have his own dialog and basic settings when using a per-
sonally configured key card.
