6.4 Diagnosing the SPC200 via the field bus
The 8−figure hexadecimal fault messages of the SPC200 can
be transmitted in the form of 4 I−Bytes or 2 input words
(each 16 bits) via the bit Strobed I/O Message Connection
(seeĂsectionĂ4.2.3).
Downloading via the POLL connection is also possible (see
section 5.2.3, last item: command Read fault message").
Composition of the diagnostic information
The two input words or diagnostic words contain the 8−figure
fault number of the SPC200. This fault message can also be
inspected with the control panel or with WinPISA. The coded
fault message contains information on:
ć the fault class
ć the axis identifier
ć the fault number
ć if applicable, additional information.
