General parametrizing
The following steps are necessary for parametrizing
(depending on the configuration program):
1. Insert the slave into the project/network
(online or offline).
2. Assign the slave to a scanner.
3. Define the I/O parameters of the slave.
Field bus module SPC200−COM−DN2 supports the
communication modes Polled, Strobed, CoS, Cyclic.

Profile mode
Irrespective of the operating mode always:
8 I−bytes / 8 O−bytes
I/O mode
Start/Stop mode:
2...8 I−bytes
2...8 O−bytes
Record Select mode: 4 I−bytes / 2 O−bytes

Four bytes of diagnostic information in the form of an 8−figure
hexadecimal fault message can be transmitted via the
Strobed Connection". Alternately, the four bytes can also be
accessed in Profile Mode via the Polled Connection.
4. Load the configuration into the scanner.
