4.3 Commissioning the network
When the controller is switched on, it automatically carries
out a comparison between the NOMINAL and the ACTUAL
configurations. It is important for this configuration run that:
ć the configuration specifications are complete and correct
ć the field bus slaves are supplied with power, in order that
they can be recognized when the ACTUAL configuration is
ascertained.
Therefore, switch on the power supply for all the field bus
slaves simultaneously, e.g. via a central switch. Or switch on
the power supply in the following sequence:
1. First switch on the power supply for all the slaves
(field bus slaves without master or scanner).
2. Then switch on the power supply for the master or the
scanner.
