Positioning Antennas for Dual Radio Access Points

These recommendations apply to omni antennas; if you are using
directional antennas, you should increase the recommended separation
between the antennas:

‰ If your access point has two 802.11b or two 802.11a radios,

position the antennas for one radio at least 3.05 meters (10 feet)
from the antennas for the other radio.

‰ If your access point has at least one 802.11b or one 802.11a radio

(the other radio may be any radio), cable the antennas for the
802.11b or 802.11a radio at least 3.05 meters (10 feet) from the
access point.

‰ If your access point has an 802.11b radio and an 802.11a full-range

radio, cable the antennas for the 802.11b at least 3.05 meters (10
feet) from the access point.

‰ If your access point has an 802.11b radio and an 802.11a mid-

range radio, cable the antennas for either the 802.11b radio or the
802.11a radio at least 3.05 meters (10 feet).
