To use a communications program
Caution
You must use the appropriate Allied Telesyn power supply with
these devices or equipment damage may occur.
Attention: Vous devez utiliser la source d’alimentation Allied

1. Use the RS-232 null-modem cable to connect the serial port on the
access point to a serial port on your PC. You may need to remove the
serial port plug.
2. Start the communications program and configure the serial port
communications parameters on your PC, and then select OK. You
should configure the serial port communications parameters to:
Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bit: 1
Flow control: None
3. Connect the access point to power. The access point has no ON/OFF
switch, so it boots as soon as you apply power.
4. Press
Starting system appears on
your PC screen.
5. In the Username field type the default username
atilan, and then
press
6. In the Password field type the default password
atilan, and then
press
7. If you are not using a DHCP server, you need to manually assign an IP
address. Configure these parameters in the TCP/IP Settings menu:
IP Address
A unique IP address.
IP Subnet Mask
The subnet mask that matches the other devices in your network.
