Enable ARP Flooding

Check this check box to enable ARP flooding. When an access
point receives an ARP request, it checks its ARP cache to
determine if the destination end device’s IP address is known. If
you enable ARP flooding and:

‰ the destination end device is known, the access point translates

the ARP request into a unicast frame, which is only forwarded to
the destination end device. Therefore, all end devices do not need
to wake up to listen to the ARP request, which saves battery life.

‰ the destination end device is not known, the access point

forwards the ARP request based on its flooding and filtering
settings.

If you disable ARP flooding, the access point ignores ARP requests
for destination end devices that are not in its ARP cache. You
should only use this option if you have no IP devices in your
wireless network.
