6 Viewing migration logs
You can view job-specific log files on the application station by accessing HP Insight Control server
migration installation path\logs
. You can also view job-specific log files by clicking the View
logs link in the Progress column on the View Status/Logs page. When a job is complete, its link no
longer appears in the View Status/Logs page, but the job-specific log files are still available in the Insight
Control server migration installation path\logs
directory.
The View Status/Logs page has the following sections:

View Currently Running Migration(s) —This section displays the status of the running jobs. It also
has links to the source, target, and application station log files. If you need to cancel a migration in
process, click Cancel.

To choose job-specific log files, note the Job ID and timestamp corresponding to that messages in the
View Migration Result Log
tab and then based on the table above. Choose the file
jobName-date_time-jobID[-Source/Target].xml .

View Migration Result Log —This section displays a log indicating the results of the migrations.
