Destination physical machine prerequisites
•
The primary storage controller must be configured with drives attached.
•
The destination server must be booted to Insight Control server migration Boot CD and running migration
agent.
Performing a V2P migration
To start the V2P Migration Wizard:
1. If you are performing a migration from a stand-alone Insight Control application station:
a.
From the desktop, access the Insight Control Migration Wizard by clicking the Insight Control
application
icon.
b. On the Login page, enter your login credentials.
c. From the Overview page, click the Migration Wizard tab.
d. Choose the Linux migration type.
e. Click Virtual to ProLiant Migration (V2P), and then click Next.
2. If you are performing a migration from Insight Control CMS, choose one of the following options:

To launch Insight Control using the Systems Insight Manager menu, select Deploy
→Migration
Tools
→ Virtual to ProLiant (V2P), and then follow the instructions to launch Insight Control
Migration Tools. Insight Control server migration opens in a separate browser.
•
To launch Insight Control using Quick Launch, select the proper source server or virtual machine
in Systems Insight Manager, scroll over Quick Launch, and then select Virtual to ProLiant (V2P).
