Chapter 13: Updates
From time to time as modifications are made to the Analyzer, it is necessary to update for
optimal performance. Updates can be performed two ways: either automatically or
manually. This chapter describes both procedures.
13.1 Software, Firmware, and BusEngine Revisions
The Readme.txt file on the first installation disk and in the installed directory gives
last-minute updates about the current release. Included with each release are the most
recent downloadable images of the Firmware and the BusEngine™.
Once the Analyzer has completed the self diagnostics and is connected to the PC, you
can check the latest revision of the software and BusEngine by selecting About from the
Help menu.
About details revisions of the following software and hardware:
• Software Version
• Unit Serial Number
• Firmware Version
• BusEngine Version
• Serdes BusEngine Version
Note: When contacting LeCroy for technical support, please have available the
revisions reported in the About window.
