PDL (job source library

compilation) messages

These messages may appear while a Job Source Library is being
compiled using Print Description Language (PDL). PDL messages
are assigned to levels 0-9, depending on the severity of the
condition being reported. These levels are indicated by the first
number appearing after the “PD” in the code.

The levels are as follows:

Level 0—confirmation
Level 1—information
Level 2—routine maintenance or actions
Level 4—system or tape problems
Level 7—system problems
Level 8—probable severe software errors
Level 9—probable severe hardware errors

Note: For instructions on compiling JSLs and list of PDL
