Installing a media bay module
After the system is powered down, you can install and remove media bay modules, as required.
Follow these procedures to install a media bay module. Reverse the procedure to remove modules.
1 Ensure that the switches on the media bay module are set correctly. For information about how
to set the switches, refer to
Chapter 7, “Setting media bay module DIP switches,” on page 135 .
In the case of FEM modules, the switches activate the front ports. Ensure that the switches
accurately reflect the ports you require. Refer to
“FEM switch settings” on page 150 .
2 Remove the front bezel from the unit where you want to install or remove the module by
grasping the edges and pulling forward. Refer to
Figure 53 .

3 Select an open media bay.
4 Pull the latch beside the selected bay to release the media bay bezel. Refer to Figure 54 .
