Setting the DIP switches on the modules
Before you install the media bay modules into the BCM1000 or BCM1000e housing, you need to
set the DIP switches. Make a note of these settings either on the chart shown in
or in the Programming Record forms.
Follow these steps to set the DIP switches:

Locate the DIP switches on the module.

Set the switches to correspond with the settings you chose
“Determining module DIP switch
.

Repeat for each media bay module you want to install.

You are now ready to install the modules into the BCM1000 or BCM1000e units. Refer to
Chapter 9, “Starting the system,” on page 159
for details.
Tip: Create a label with the DS30 channel and DIP switch settings, and stick it to the front
of the module to provide ease of reference for maintenance activities.
