: External Base Block by N.O. Contact
• When either the Forward Run command or
Reverse Run command is closed, and the
external Base Block command is also active
(i.e. contact closed), coast stop is accom-
plished (after a 20 msec delay), while the
frequency command is maintained.
When the Base Block command is removed,
the drive will recover in a manner similar
to that of Speed Search operation.
• When both the Forward Run command and
Reverse Run command are open, and the
external Base Block command is active (i.e. contact closed), coast stop is accom-
plished and after a 20 msec delay the frequency command is changed to 0Hz.
When the Base Block command is removed, the drive will remain in stopped
condition until Forward Run command or Reverse Run command is again closed.
• When external Base Block command is active, a blinking "
b b
" will be displayed
on the Digital Operator.

Base block operation is the same as described above, except that the Base Block contact
must be open to be recognized as active.
