Setting a datum at the current probe position
A datum can be set at the point indicated by the current crosshair probe position. The datum can be set to
zero, or to a desired value.
NOTE
The datum point created using this method is not shown as a feature in the features
list.
To set a datum at the current position:
1 Select the straight or offset crosshair probe.
2 Position the center of the crosshair over the desired datum loca-
tion. In this example, the crosshair is positioned over the center of the
QC Quickie slide’s medium hole.
3 Touch the DRO button to
display the DRO screen.
