Host Circuit Session Status
Clicking on one of the Host Circuits should cause the session status to display for all LUs
associated with the selected Host Circuit. An example of this panel is shown below.
This panel allows you to identify which clients have current possession of the sessions
associated to the selected Host Circuit. Clients are identified by their IP address, the port
that they connected through, whether the client is connected as display or a printer, and if
connected as a display, what the Mod Size is.
Descriptions of the various fields found on this panel are described below.
Field Descriptions
LU Number: This corresponds to the LOCADDR number in the VTAM Switched Major
Node LU definition. The range of LUs that may be shown is from 02-254
Status: This is the current status of the device. Possible states are:
Inactive – Has not been activated by the host.
Active – Has been activated by the host.
Bound – The LU is bound in session with a host application.
Device Type: The Device Type should reflect as to whether the device is a display or a
printer if the connection is active. Otherwise the device type will indicate ‘Unknown’.
