The resulting panel will display:
There are three partitions on each drive (Boot, Root, and Swap). The RAID Status
indicates the current state of each partition on each drive. An individual partition can be
reset to insure proper operation.
Valid states can be:
OK
FAULTY
FAULTY REMOVED
OFFLINE
If a partition is in one of the last three states, clicking the ‘Reset’ button will artificially
mark that partition as FAULTY REMOVED, and then begin the recovery process.
Once started the recovery process will be monitored, with the screen updated
periodically, until the recovery is complete.
If any partitions are bad on one of the drives, you can rebuild the whole drive by
depressing the RAID Recovery Drive button (this button does not display if all partitions
are OK). Pressing this button will reformat the drive, recreate the partitions, resync the
partitions from the other drive, and update the boot loader.
NOTE: DO NOT UNPLUG A DRIVE WHILE POWERED ON AND RUNNING.
DAMAGE CAN OCCUR! DRIVE MUST BE OFFLINE BEFORE REMOVING!
