Host Circuit Status Display

Clicking on the field below the Host Circuits field on the main status panel will result in a
display of the Host Circuits status. Host Circuits are used to communicate with VTAM as
a PU type 2.0 node, and represents the physical unit for TN3270E sessions connecting to
the CNA-8000. Each Host Circuit supports a maximum of 253 LU sessions, each
representing a TN3270E client. Up to 64 Host Circuits may be defined supporting up to
16,000 TN3270E clients. The following example Host Circuit status panel shows a single
inactive Host Circuit.

Like the higher level panels, each Host Circuit displays a color.
Green – Host Circuit is Active (VTAM has activated the PU)
Red – Host Circuit is Inactive (VTAM has deactivated the PU or has never activated it)

Clicking on one of the colored Host Circuit lines, will display the LUs associated with
that Host Circuit.
