Chapter 3. Administrative Interface
Powering on the CNA-8000
The CNA-8000 is powered up by pressing the power button located on the front of the
unit. When properly configured, the CNA-8000 will power up into production
automatically. Refer to the CNA-8000 Installation and Configuration Guide (P/N
707158-001) for details on how to configure the CNA-8000.
Connecting into the Administrator Interface
A web browser is used to access the administrator’s interface on the CNA-8000. Web
browsers vary in features and abilities, and it possible that some web browsers may not
provide a suitable interface. Browsers that have been tested and appear to be suitable for
use with the CNA-8000 include:
Internet Explorer – versions 5.0 and higher have been tested. Should be used with
small screen fonts set (in Windows screen properties).
Firefox
The user interface was designed to work optimally with a screen resolution of 1024 x
768.
When using the Firefox web browser that is included with the CNA-8000 (through a
direct attached monitor, keyboard and mouse) you will only need to launch the browser.
Connection to the CNA-8000 administrative interface is automatic. When using any
suitable web browser (from any PC or other platform that has network access to your
CNA-8000), connect to the CNA-8000 by typing the IP address of the CNA-8000 into
the browser address field. This would appear similar to this:
