Viewing the Event Log
You can view the CNA-8000 Event Log by selecting the [Event Log] button from the
Maintenance Menu.
The resulting panel that is displayed is the Event Log. You can scroll through the log, by
using the scroll control to the right of the log. You can determine which types of events
get logged on one of the configuration panels. Refer to the CNA-8000 Installation and
Configuration Manual (P/N 707158-00x) for information on configuring the Event Log
options. Refer to the CNA-8000 Problem Determination Manual (P/N 707???-00x) for
information about how to interpret the log.
You can retrieve (capture) this log using your browser and the following procedure.
1. Display the Event Log with your browser.
2. Click on the portion of the screen that contains the log (you may not see any
visual affect when you click).
3. Right Mouse Click to bring up a menu.
4. Click on ‘Select All’ from the menu.
5. Right Mouse Click again, and this time select ‘Copy’ from the menu.
6. Open a word processor (such as Microsoft Word) and paste the information.
7. Save as a file.
