Host Circuit Sessions Panel
Clicking on one of the Host Circuits on the Host Circuits Status panel, results in a display
of all of the LUs associated with the Host Circuit and their current status. All LUs are
represented (253) regardless of how many are genned, configured, and being used.
LUs that have a user connected to them lists information related to that client’s
connection and has a [Disconnect] button displayed.
Field Descriptions
LU Number: This field contains the LU number in both decimal and in hex. This
number directly corresponds to the number used by VTAM to communicate with it.
Status: This field describes the status of the LU. Typical values are:
LU Active – The LU has been activated by VTAM
LU Inactive – The LU has not been activated by VTAM (it may not be genned)
Device Type: The value of this field describes the type of device that is being emulated
based on the type of device that has been connected. Values can be:
Display - TN3270 emulator identified itself to be a display device type
Printer – TN3270 emulator identified itself to be a printer device type
Unknown – No TN3270 emulator is currently connected
Mod Size: This describes the screen mod size being used by the TN3270 emulator that is
attached. Values can be in the range of 2-5 or N/A.
