Placement Regions and Placement Region Constraints

Important consideration
when saving placement
region constraints:
Only the final list of all individual instances being constrained is saved.
The individual Tcl commands which built up the final list of constraints
(including ’find’ commands, the extraction of instances from Critical
Paths, or from Clock Domains) is lost. The user may edit the saved PDC
file to replace explicit lists of instances with ’find’ commands or clock
domain names.
Deleting Placement Regions
Unwanted Placement Regions may be deleted from the Placement Regions view by right-clicking the region
in the table and selecting ”Remove Placement Region”.
Alternately, the Tcl command
may be called directly.
