Configuring and Viewing IPv6 Multicast Route Information
Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to
configure static IPv6 multicast routes on the switch and to view IPv6
multicast table information.
Command
Purpose
configure
Enter global configuration mode.
ipv6 mroute
source-
address/prefix-length rpf-
address preference
Create a static multicast route for a source range.
•
source-address/prefix-length — The IPv6 address of the
multicast data source.
•
rpf-address — The IPv6 address of the next hop towards
the source.
•
preference — The cost of the route (Range: 1 - 255).
exit
Exit to Privileged EXEC mode.
show ip mcast interface
[vlan
vlan-id]
View the multicast information for all interfaces or for the
specified interface.
show ipv6 mroute
{detail | summary}
View a summary or all the details of the multicast table.
show ipv6 mroute group
groupipaddr {detail |
summary}
View the multicast configuration settings such as flags,
timer settings, incoming and outgoing interfaces, RPF
neighboring routers, and expiration times of all the entries
in the multicast mroute table containing the
groupipaddr
value.
show ipv6 mroute source
sourceipaddr {summary
|
groupipaddr}
View the multicast configuration settings such as flags,
timer settings, incoming and outgoing interfaces, RPF
neighboring routers, and expiration times of all the entries
in the multicast mroute table containing the
sourceipaddr
or
sourceipaddr | groupipaddr pair value(s).
show ipv6 mroute static
[
sourceipaddr ]
View all the static routes configured in the static mcast
table if it is specified or display the static route associated
with the particular
sourceipaddr.
