This section introduces you to the operation of the 792 Basic IC by

means of a brief operating tutorial which describes the basic operat-

ing steps needed for the recording of an ion chromatogram using one

of the system files supplied.
The determination of the anionic content of a drinking water sample

with the METROSEP Anion Dual 1 column is used as an illustrative

example. Please note that the steps and parameter settings described

apply only to this example. If you use a different separating column

and system file, the procedures described in the tutorial must be

modified appropriately.
For further explanations of the operation, please refer to section 4.





3.1 Requirements

For the determination of anions in drinking water described in this tuto-

rial, the following instruments, accessories and solutions are required:
