2.8.3 Connection of supply bottles
The supply lines for the regeneration and rinsing solution between the
storage bottles and the peristaltic pump are installed as follows:
1 Prepare supply bottle for H
2
SO
4
x Prepare regeneration solution suited for the desired applica-
tion and separating column (normally 20 mmol/L H
2
SO
4
).
x Fill regeneration solution into supply bottle and label the
bottle.
2 Connect aspirating tubing for H
2
SO
4
x Prepare aspirating tubing 69
69 69 69: Cut a piece of the 6.1803.020
PTFE tubing to the required length (normally ca. 120 cm).
x Insert one end of the aspirating tubing 69 69 69 69 into the regenera-
tion solution storage bottle and tighten it so that the tubing is
firmly held.
x Insert the free end of aspirating tubing 69
69 69 69 into one of the
openings 5 555 of the 792 Basic IC (see Fig. 2) and pull it suffi-
ciently far into the interior.
x Mount a coupling 70 70 70 70 (6.2744.030) to the inlet end of the rear
pump tubing 71 71 71 71.
x Mount a 6.2744.010 Compression fitting at the end of the
aspirating tubing 69 69 69 69 and screw this compression fitting on to
the coupling 70 70 70 70 (see Fig. 14).
3 Prepare supply bottle for H
2
O
x Prepare rinsing solution suited for the desired application and
separating column (normally dist. H
2
O).
x Fill rinsing solution into a supply bottle and label the bottle.
