Power supply concept, formation of power zones
The modular power supply concept of the CPX terminal allows
power zones to be formed.
Observe the following:
ć
The internal electronics of the VPWP and the digital posiĆ
tion measuring system and, if present, the sensor interĆ
face are supplied with power by the electronics/sensors
operating voltage supply (U
EL/SEN
).
The VPWP load supply and the VPWP outputs are supĆ
plied with power by the valve load supply (U
VAL
).
ć
The CMAX internally connects the contact rails 0 V
EL/SEN
to 0 V
VAL
of the CPX terminal.
ć
This means that the operating power supply for the
electronics/sensors (U
EL/SEN
) of the CPX terminal and
the CMAX load supply for the valves (U
VAL
) are no
longer electrically isolated.
ć
Complete electrical isolation (all poles) of the valve
supply of the VPWP is therefore
not possible, even in
conjunction with a CPX valve supply of type CPX−EV−V.
Note
Damage to components and operative malfunctions!
·
The CMAX must be supplied via the same potential
(common power supply unit) as the operating power
supply for the electronics/sensors (U
EL/SEN
) of the
CPX terminal (see also Fig. 3/3).
The CMAX always connects the 0 V supply for the elecĆ
tronics with the 0 V supply for the valves. This must be
observed when a CPX−GE−EV−V interlinking block is located
to the left of the CMAX because this can remove any intenĆ
tional electrical isolation.
