Acknowledging
malfunctions

Reported malfunctions must be acknowledged with
CCON.RESET. It might be necessary to remedy the cause of
the malfunction.

1. Positive edge on CCON.RESET.

2. Wait 3 s (depending on the malfunction, CMAX requires a

maximum of 3 seconds, e.g. for initialising the axis).

3. Check whether the malfunction has been remedied:

ć

if SCON.FAULT = 0: ok

ć

if SCON.FAULT = 1:
Check the malfunction number and eliminate any
cause. See section 5.2.4.

Fundamentally, CMAX always attempts to acknowledge the
currently pending malfunctions. If there are several malfuncĆ
tions active at the same time, the behaviour is directed toĆ
ward the most serious malfunction.
If there are several malfunctions registered and one malfuncĆ
tion can be cleared by resetting, but the others cannot, the
remaining malfunctions are displayed after the reset.

Warnings

Events and statuses which can potentially impair operation
are signalled as a warning. A list of warning messages can be
found in section 5.2.4.

Warning reaction

In the case of warnings, CMAX does not have the MalfuncĆ
tion" status, but continues to have Ready" status.
Warnings are reported with SCON.WARN = 1. There is no
effect on the sequence control or the axis.

Acknowledging warnings

SCON.WARN is set = 0, depending on the warning:

with the positive edge at CCON.START or CCON.RESET
(as far as the cause has been remedied).
