Component
Description
Hostname
The hostname is the name used to identify the SKM on the network. It is originally
assigned during initial configuration. This string cannot be longer than 64 characters.
Edit
Click Edit to modify the Hostname field.
DNS Server List
Domain Name Service (DNS) settings are viewed and modified on the DNS Server List section on the
DNS tab of the Network Configuration page. From this section, the user can opt to review the server list
or use the buttons to prioritize, add, modify, or remove a DNS server.

NOTE:
Changes to the DNS Server List section causes the SKM Server to restart, which takes the SKM offline for
a few seconds.
The following table describes the components of the DNS Server List section.

Up, Down
Use the Up and Down buttons to specify the order in which the DNS servers are to
be queried by the SKM.
Edit
Click Edit to modify an existing domain name server.
Add
Click Add to add a domain name server.
Delete
Click Delete to remove a domain name server.
Port Speed sections
The Network Configuration page contains the following port speed-related section:
• Network Interface Port Speed/Duplex
Network Interface Port Speed/Duplex
The SKM can auto-negotiate a port speed and duplex setting when communicating with other network
devices. In some network configurations, however, you might want to force the SKM to use a particular
port speed and duplex setting. The Port Speed tab on the Network Configuration page allows you to
choose between Auto-Negotiate and a variety of port speed and duplex settings.
