Network switches power on immediately on connection to the PDU. Check for fault lights on
the switches (front and rear of the rack).

Disk enclosures are powered on using the power on button (on the upper left as seen from
the rear). Please wait 10 minutes BEFORE powering on the nodes.

Finally, the nodes (servers) are powered on using the power on button on the front of each
server.

drives.

IMPORTANT:

Items 1 to 3 power on immediately on connection to the PDU. Nodes (servers)

have a power on button. Please wait 10 minutes BEFORE powering on the nodes.

Nodes (servers)

Powering on disk enclosures, HP StoreOnce 6500 Backup

Ensure that all disk enclosures attached to the system are powered on (1) before pressing the Power
button on the head server unit. You may need to hold down the power on button (on the upper left
as seen from the rear) for a few seconds.

Powering on expansion shelves, HP StoreOnce B6200 Backup

If expansion shelves have been connected, they will come on as soon as power is connected and
applied. There are no power switches for the HP StoreOnce B6200 expansion shelves.
