Setting Minimum Processor Idle Power Core State
Select the lowest processor idle power state (C-state) that the operating system uses. The higher
the C-state, the lower the power usage of the idle power state. C6 is the lowest power idle state
supported by the processor. Configure this option only when HP Power Profile is set to “Custom.”
To set minimum processor idle power core state:
1.
From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration
→BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU)
→Power Management→Advanced Power Options→Minimum Processor Idle Power
Core State and press Enter.
2.
Select one of the following options:
•
C6 State (default — lowest)
•
C3 State
•
C1E State
•
No C-states
3.
Press F10 to save your selection.
