4 Accessing Smart Array Controllers
You can access Smart Array Controllers and view device information. HP 12Gb/s capable SAS
Smart Array controllers (for example, HP Smart Array P430, P431, P731m, and P830 Controllers)
support UEFI-based servers. For more information, see the HP Smart Array Controllers compatibility
matrix at
To view information about Smart Array Controllers:
1.
From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration
→Embedded SAS : Smart Array
P830i Controller and press Enter.
2.
Select Device Information and press Enter to view firmware version, firmware release date,
UEFI Driver version, PCI device ID, and PCI Slot number.
3.
Select Enable/Disable Smart Array Debug Messages to view debug messages. An X in the
box indicates that the option is enabled.
4.
Select Exit and launch HP Smart Storage Administrator (HPSSA) to access configuration options
for HPSSA where you can configure and monitor the status of Smart Array controllers.
