Avaya ATM Uplink Module CLI Commands
1-41
set lec (proxy)
Command Mode
Configuration
Description
Set the proxy mode for the LEC. The LEC can proxy for MAC
addresses that are local to the Avaya switch only; or for MAC
addresses learned from other LECs in addition to the local MAC
address. If proxying for all, the ATM Uplink module will work in
conjunction with another LEC to bridge between two ELANs. This is
not a recommended configuration since this implies a routing
function. See Appendix B of the ATM Uplink User’s Guide for more
details.
* Note: You must disable a LEC each time you make a change to
the configuration. After you make configuration
changes, you must enable the LEC in order for the
changes to take effect.
