Command Syntax Conventions
Table 1-2 describes the command syntax conventions.
Table 1-2. Command Syntax Conventions
Privileged
The Privileged
mode contains
commands from
the User mode
and the
commands to set
operating
parameters.
From the User
mode, enter
enable.
ATM#
exit returns
to the User
mode.
Global
Configuration
The Configuration
mode contains
commands to
configure the
entire system.
From the
Privileged
mode, enter
configure.
ATM
(configure)#
Exit returns
to the
Privileged
mode.
To exit a command mode, enter the exit command
To exit the ATM Uplink Command Line Interface, enter quit.
Note:
The ATM Uplink CLI session times out if there is no CLI activity
after the default time of 5 minutes.
Main Command Modes
Convention
Description
keyword
A command keyword (required). An
alphanumeric string with “-”
allowed.
A required variable for which you
supply the value. A command
parameter name, where the name
must be alphanumeric.
[optional]
Optional syntax that can be a
keyword, parameter, option or any
combination thereof.
