Avaya ATM Uplink Module CLI Commands
1-21
set network multiport
Command Mode
Configuration
Description
By setting Multiport to Yes, the ATM Uplink module will use PNNI
signalling. PNNI provides for automatic load sharing and failover
depending on configuration. If set to Yes, you must also configure
the ATM Prefix and PNNI Level for the ATM Uplink module.
If set to No, UNI signalling will be used; and failover can be
configured between the two ports.
Signalling can also be disabled completely if the ATM Uplink module
will be used in an RFC1483 configuration only. See the command
“set vport (sig-type)” on page 132
or the ATM Uplink 2.0 User Guide
for more information on signalling types.
* Note: You must disable a network each time you make a
change to the configuration. After you make
configuration changes, you must enable the network in
order for the changes to take effect.
