3.3 VIDEO DISPLAY
3.3.1 P
URPOSE
The video display makes it possible to view any media loaded on the Player that is
available on the XNet network.
3.3.2 P
REREQUISITES
The video display needs to be associated to the 2

PGM of IPEdit (player PGM) to
be operational. For more information, refer to section 3.2 ‘Assigning Player
Channels to IPEdit’, on page 14.

EACTIVATION
When the video display is operational, you can activate it or deactivate by right-
clicking the Video Display area and selecting Show/Hide Video Display.

REREQUISITE
In all cases, the video display will only be available in the Player if the PGM2 or
PGM4 of the XT[2] server is physically connected to the IPDirector workstation on
which the AVH board is installed.

UTOMATIC

SSOCIATION
If the AVH board is associated to the player PGM in the Remote Installer, the
video display will automatically be displayed when the user selects the Timeline
Engine. For more information on the association between the player channel and
the AVH board in the Remote Installer, refer to the Technical Reference manual.

If administrators have not set up the automatic association between the player
PGM and the AVH board, proceed as follows:

Right-click the video display area in the Player and select AVH.
